James R. Holfinger, DPM has been in private practice for over 30 years in Cleveland, OH. He is the president of Southwest Foot and Ankle Associates, Inc. which is located on the campus of Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, OH. Southwest Foot and Ankle Associates, Inc. consists of three board certified podiatric surgeons providing state of the art podiatric medical and surgical foot and ankle care.

Dr. Holfinger is a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his podiatric surgical residency at Orlando General Hospital in Orlando, Florida. He is a past president of the Northeast Ohio Academy of Podiatric Medicine and was the first chairman of the Division of Podiatric Surgery at Southwest General Health Center, a 350 bed hospital. He has served numerous terms in this capacity and continues to serve as a member on the credentials and medical executive committees.

Dr. Holfinger founded and directed the first podiatric surgical residency at Southwest General for nine years. Dr. Holfinger and his colloquies currently direct a six month podiatric medical/surgical and trauma rotation for third year podiatric surgical residents from University Hospitals Health System of Cleveland. He has been chairman of the board of managers of Big Creek Surgery Center, a multi-specialty ASC, since its inception 7 years ago.

Dr. Holfinger’s other interests include astronomy, boating, scuba diving, sports, and family activities.
